Jyotish Samrat - Dr. K. C. Paul Honor Award

Bangladesh Radiance Academy of Astrology (BRAA) is always committed to the proper practice, research-oriented knowledge, and dissemination of scriptural education of astrology. To evaluate the merit and research works of rising and veteran astrologers from home and abroad institutionally, the "Jyotish Samrat - Dr. K. C. Paul Honor Award" has been introduced in our institution. On the occasion of the 50th birth anniversary or golden jubilee of the renowned astrologer Dr. K. C. Paul, this award was historically initiated on November 12, 2025, completely with his own funding. To establish a unique example of merit-based evaluation in the field of astrology in Bangladesh, this gold medal is handed over to the talented people who have made outstanding contributions in astrology around this special day every year.

We have set a specific and competitive framework to reward truly deserving individuals solely based on merit and research. Through the annually organized "Subject-Wise Essay Competition", five best astrologers are selected as winners from a total of five specific categories. These categories are— Predictive Astrology, Palmistry, Numerology, Mundane, and Vastu. The selected best astrologer in each category of the competition is awarded a gold medal, a special certificate of honor, and a set of rare astrological books by the academy. In addition to this, the winners are also awarded a cash prize of BDT 5,000 (five thousand). In order to further enrich this honor in the future, we have also taken an institutional decision to increase the budget of the collective award by 20% every year.
